It's that time of year again! Brew For Autism 2016!! It's the annual autism fundraiser put on by the Pour Standards Homebrew Club and the Richmond County Beer Club. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Autism Speaks, an Autism Advocacy Organization that exists to educate the community and spread awareness on ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), as well as fund research and provide assistance to the autism community. In 2014, we raised over $9,000, and in 2015, we raised over $14,000! This year will be even bigger and better with the goal to shoot right past those numbers. Additionally, since we wanted to spread the event to more of the community, there will be additional local autism groups involved this year. One again, it will be held in the Great Hall at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center. As in past years, there will be a ton of homebrew (including beers, ciders, and meads) and professional craft beer for sampling. We already have over 25 homebrewers signed up to pour some of their creations, with more to follow. We are also aiming to have even more food than past years, and will once again be having a litany of raffle prizes available. As we get closer to the event, we'll be posting the beers, food, and raffles available. All of this for a donation of $55. Tickets will be on sale shortly. We hope you can join us on January 30, 2016 for another amazing event for an amazing cause. Until then, Cheers!
